One State Park Grade Fire Ring - Installed.

Pretty simple here. Decide on location, dig hole, insert fire ring , line bottom with flagstone, light fire, open beer.
And there you have it. One fire ring, in the ground and ready for employment. Flagstone on the bottom is good for drainage and a level and sturdy base for a Dutch Oven. Lots of related cooking entries are sure to come.

One Chain Link Dog Run- Removed.

I thought I would get a jump on one of our main “To-Do’s” this last weekend and rip out the obtrusive chain link dog run that was right in the middle of our yard. We wanted to remove it before we even officially owned the property.
Honestly, I thought this would be a much larger project than it turned out to be. The worst part has been digging out all the posts that were cemented into the ground. I’m sore, but it will be worth it. Now we can really take advantage of the whole yard.
If anyone wants a chainlink fence - I know where you can get one….cheap.

Seeing that ‘before’ image really makes me excited for green grass and warmer weather. The next thing here will be new top soil and grass seed where the perimeter of the fence was. stay tuned….
